Locations etc.
Short Change Hero
Idea 1:
Location
Woods – The woods would’ve
been a good place due to the fact that the song is fairly dark in terms of its
lyrics and tone. The woods cater to this as it isn’t too difficult to create
this feel in a woodland setting. The band that made the song (The Heavy) have
previously used this setting for their ‘How you like me now?’ meaning that we
could’ve used this for inspiration.
Content – The video would’ve
consisted of us (the band) playing the instruments in the woods. There would’ve
been some effects put on the video to make it more interesting/appealing to the
audience. We would’ve used a wide range of camera shots, possibly even filming
from trees.

Idea 2:
In
Concert
Beldam Theatre – We could’ve
used our college theatre for our video due to the fact that in concert videos
are common amongst artists. However, we didn’t use this because it would’ve
been very difficult to get enough people to play the audience.
Content – The video would’ve
had various shots form different heights and angles. Similar to the woods
video, there would’ve effects on the video as well. This would’ve been
effective video based on the Bon Jovi video: ‘Livin on a Prayer’.

Idea 3:
Green
Screen
Media Suite – The third idea
was to film the video in the media suite. This would’ve allowed us to use the
green screen for effects on the video. We would’ve also used other effects over
the whole shot on top of the green screen. This would fit with the rock genre
as a result of the guitars and drums
Content – The video would
consist of me playing the drums, Luke singing and Tom on the guitar. We would
be playing as if we were in a recording studio. Hence why we aren’t in front of
an audience.
