Editing notes-Luke Dominey

After filming was finished we started editing straight away, the first step within this was to crop the videos to the correct length, so they can match up to the song itself after that the next step was to match the audio up to the video so that are synced and do not look out of place with each other, and when this is achieved and it could be achieved easier than most people due to the fact we filmed a shot for each second of the film so it only became a matter of lining all the shots and overlaying the song over them, when this was done and the audio was synced to a point that it looked in sync between the audio and the video, after that we started to experiment with green screen effects, the original idea was to put a space style background, but as it did not match up with the feel of the video and the music, we decided to try to see if the band logo would look good on the green screen however the shots filmed during out filming didn’t centre on the green screen which gave the green...

Unit 29 – Assignment 2 (Music Video codes and Conventions) Impressionist: Impressionist videos are designed to make the audience feel a certain way. The producers create this by using unique shots in which the audience can relate/connect to. These shots will generally not relate to each other but in conjunction they create a common theme. An example of an impressionist video would be ‘Sabotage’ by the Beastie Boys.
