MES Location Ideas

Short Change Hero

Idea 1:
Woodland area / Outside & nature based
I believe that the woods and nature based areas would be very good for this music video, thanks to the juxtaposition of some of the harsh natured words and themes to the music, mixed with the peaceful and light nature around. Alongside this with my research I have found that the band “The Heavy” has made music videos before with the same conventions, that we believe would make the music video more in place with what the band feels fits their music video right. Alongside this, it wouldn’t be too hard booking the area, as public land is free to use (to a degree). Meanwhile, the location would vary depending on where about we are going which can change how easy it is to get some transport. Content wise we would have the band playing and moving around through the forest and making it look natural.

Idea 2:
            Abandoned Warehouse
I think that using an abandoned warehouse or factory would help to set the tone of the music video as the music video has very deep lyrics relating to crime and negative atmospheres, which we can relate the area of an abandoned warehouse. From this, we can identify that there is a clear atmosphereic connection that works together well. Having an abandoned warehouse would be hard to to book, but I believe that with the right equipment and permissions we can make this warehouse very effective.

Idea 3:
            Drama studio

The drama studio is very good, as we can use the wide open space to fil.m lots of movements quite easy, meanwhile the location is quite easy to access as it is within the college, and does not need much booking in advance. Basic contact needs to be made in order to book the room so that we can book and afternoon or evening to film. This would be ideal, as moving all of the equipment will be quite hard, but we can easily move everything from cars into the studio quite easily at the college.
